This policy explains when refunds are available for tickets, guest-list places, table bookings, VIP packages, and other bookings made through Sound Clash Events.
1. General refund rule
All Sound Clash Events tickets, guest-list places, deposits, table bookings, and VIP packages are non-refundable once purchased, unless:
- We or an external company, venue, or partner cancel the event;
- We materially change the event in a way that qualifies for a refund under this policy; or
- A refund is required by applicable UK consumer law.
Please check the event date, venue, lineup, entry requirements, and ticket type carefully before completing your purchase.
2. Event cancellation
If Sound Clash Events cancels an event:
- You will be entitled to a refund of the ticket price or booking amount paid, exclusive of any admin or processing fees, but inclusive of any tax.
- Refunds will normally be processed to the original payment method.
- Third-party booking fees, transaction fees, or processing fees may be non-refundable where they were charged by an external ticketing or payment provider.
- We will notify ticket holders by email and update the relevant event page as soon as reasonably possible.
3. Event postponement or rescheduling
If an event is postponed or rescheduled:
- Your ticket or booking will normally remain valid for the new date.
- If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a refund within 3 working days of the postponement announcement.
- Refund requests received after this deadline may not be accepted.
- If the event is postponed but a new date has not yet been confirmed, we will provide refund instructions once the new date is announced or if the event is cancelled.
4. Lineup and artist changes
Music events can be subject to changes. The following do not qualify for a refund:
- A named DJ, artist, performer, or support act is changed or withdraws.
- Set times, stage times, room layouts, or event programming change.
- A supporting or main act is replaced.
- The event continues with a revised lineup.
Refunds are only available if the entire event is cancelled or materially changed in a way that qualifies under this policy.
5. Venue changes
If Sound Clash Events moves an event to another venue:
- We will notify ticket holders as soon as possible.
- If the replacement venue is reasonably comparable and the event proceeds, tickets normally remain valid and no refund is due.
- If the replacement venue is materially different in location, capacity, or event experience, we may offer ticket holders the option to request a refund within a stated deadline.
6. Refused entry or removal
No refund will be provided if you are:
- Refused entry because you do not meet the age requirement or cannot provide valid photographic ID;
- Refused entry because you are intoxicated, aggressive, abusive, or otherwise in breach of venue or event rules;
- Removed from the event for misconduct, harassment, violence, drug use, or breach of the prohibited-items policy;
- Late and unable to enter due to guest-list cutoff times, curfews, or venue capacity limits;
- Unable to attend because of personal circumstances, travel disruption, illness, work commitments, or weather, unless we expressly state otherwise.
7. Guest lists and table bookings
- Guest-list places are free or discounted entry options and are non-refundable and non-transferable unless stated otherwise.
- If you cancel a table booking, booth package, or VIP booking, any deposit paid may be non-refundable.
- Cancellation charges may apply depending on how much notice is given:
| Notice given before event | Refund position |
|---|---|
| 14 days or more | Deposit retained; no further charge |
| 7-13 days | 50% of booking value payable |
| Less than 7 days | 100% of booking value payable |
| No-show | 100% of booking value payable |
Minimum spend requirements may still apply where stated in your booking confirmation.
8. Duplicate or incorrect bookings
If you believe you have been charged twice, booked the wrong ticket, or made an obvious duplicate booking, contact bookings@soundclashevents.com within 24 hours of purchase.
We will review duplicate or incorrect bookings on a case-by-case basis. Where a genuine duplicate payment has occurred, we will refund the duplicate amount, excluding any non-refundable third-party fees where applicable.
9. How to request a refund
To request a refund, email bookings@soundclashevents.com with:
- Your full name;
- Booking reference or ticket order number;
- Event name and date;
- The email address used to book;
- A short explanation of your request;
- Any supporting evidence, where relevant.
We aim to acknowledge refund requests within 2 working days and process approved refunds within 5-10 working days. The time it takes for funds to appear in your account depends on your bank or payment provider.
10. Chargebacks
Please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank or card provider. We may be unable to assist with a refund request while a chargeback is open.
Unjustified chargebacks may result in the cancellation of future bookings and may be disputed with supporting booking, entry, and communication records.
11. Consumer rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
For tickets purchased through an authorised third-party ticketing platform, that platform’s own terms and refund process may also apply. We recommend checking the terms shown at the point of purchase.
